Aikido Therapy is our Martial Approach to Problem Solving and Conflict Resolution.
Aikido therapy is also a perfect medium for Self Development.
Aikido Therapy is designed as a complimentary health therapy response to addictions (alcohol, drugs, gambling, sex, shopping, gaming etc.) also relationship difficulties, stress management, anxiety, bereavement, conflict resolution, paranoia, anger management, OCD, PTSD, complexes and ideation's. Aikido Therapy is also a perfect medium for  self development.
Aikido Therapy is also a martial approach to problem solving and conflict resolution.
Chris Mc Cormac and Mary Hoban are the founders of Aikido Therapy.   The therapy is based on four seperate yet complimentary desciplines ;
1. Aikido. This is a Japanese Martial Art which has at its heart non-destruction of the self and non-destruction of others. Here we exploregently what a physical balance and unbalance is and how we can interpret this in our everyday lives.
2. Sanshin. This Martial principle is the state of a calm mind before, during and after a distructive activity either by the person or to the person. Within Sanshin we explore different tools to bring the person into the present moment instead of living in the past, future or fantasy.
3. Adult Continuing Education Philosophy. Here we explore what it is to be an adult and we examine how we make sense of our world. We also look at our frame of reference and the hidden assumptions we may carry with us. We introduce the concept of lifelong continuing emancipatory education.
4. Non- Disclosure Counselling. This is our unique and innovative approach, we do not need a persons history or detail of their problem, we only need to know that a person wants to bring change to their life.We feel that information is power and we would prefer that power to remain with the person who has the problem.

Aikido Therapy is registered with A.R.C.H.T.I. (Association of Registered Complimentary Health Therapists of Ireland).
Mary and Chris are full members of A.R.C.H.T.I. and are based in Co. Meath, Ireland.
